HR Academy


The HR academy is focused on those individuals who are currently working in a HR role regardless of qualification or length of experience.


It focuses on continuous learning, up-skilling HR professionals to be the best version of themselves in work, not just now, but ensuring they have the skills necessary for hr and people management of the future.  Our aim is to develop HR Professionals so that they continue to demonstrate the need for Human in Human Resources, especially with the rise of automation, and we strive to develop the leadership capability of HR Professionals to ensure that our profession demonstrates our validity and value and are at the top table on strategic decision making.


HR Academy Community


When you join the HR Academy you are part of the Prestige HR Academy Community for life.

When you join the programme, you will join our online network of HR Professionals, and will continue to learn from each other, and network with each other on whatever HR issue should arise.  This Social and Collaborative Learning approach gives you access to a wealth of knowledge and experience that HR Professionals in Northern Ireland and Ireland have been unable to tap into and we are so excited by the positivity and optimism that is created in this network and sincerely encourage you to take part.  As the Academy programme develops from year to year, you can choose to attend modules again as part of a refresher and will see the updates each year to support you in your continuous development.




Course duration is 8 months consisting of


  • Monthly learning session each month (4 hours)

  • Workbooks will be provided

  • Slides will be provided

  • Monthly coursework must be completed to successfully complete the programme


HR Academy Modules


Module 1       Understanding YOU as a HR Professional


In this module you will learn:


  • Confidence Building

  • Stress Management, building resilience and mental toughness to handle the Leadership Challenges you may face

  • Identifying the Opportunities and stresses in your roles; and overcoming the real fears of today’s Leaders

  • Maintaining moral integrity when faced with Ethical dilemmas in the hr/ hr business partners role 



Module 2       Ensure Result Based Outcomes


In this module you will learn:


  • Techniques for decision making

  • How to go about finding and implementing solutions

  • Goal Setting to ensure results

  • Skills to plan and lead complex teams through the execution of outcomes

  • Effectiveness and efficiency approaches to problem solving

  • Providing direction


Module 3       Leading through Change


In this module you will learn:


  • Leading through change or strategic change and managing the effects

  • Understand the impact of change

  • Learn how to encourage innovation in teams

  • Develop a culture of risk that learns quickly from mistakes

  • Building Agile Organisational structures fit for the future of business

  • Importance of Communication in change management



Module 4       Equipping HR Managers with Mediation Skills


In this module you will learn:


  • Understanding Conflict management strategies

  • Techniques and strategies to manage and resolve conflict within your organisation



Module 5       Developing a Holistic Well-being Strategy


In this module you will learn:


  • Moving from Absence Management to holistic well-being

  • Creating an organisational culture that supports flexible working

  • Developing a Strategic Wellbeing approach

  • Implementing Strategic Wellbeing to support your organisations vision and goals

  • Understanding the Meta Conscious Model



Module 6       Performance


In this module you will learn:


  • Leaning Leadership

  • Understanding how our brain works to become effective

  • Understanding the threat state and how to move staff beyond it

  • Abolishing Appraisals – the argument for continuous review

  • Implementing ‘Living’ performance structures



Module 7       HR Business Partner


In this module you will learn:


  • Understanding the wider Business

  • Where you fit in and understanding your current level of influence

  • Maximising your influence as a HR Business professional



Module 8       The future of work


In this module you will learn:


  • Gig Ecomomy

  • Rise of Automation

  • Technology advances

  • Digital Classrooms and Gamification

  • The power of purpose – introducing Purpose statement
